  • Available to any person interested in the support of the fire service. Individual membership includes all benefits of the association, including participation in the association’s certification program.

    This membership is available to all persons, regardless of current association with a fire department or other member entity.

  • Available to chartered fire departments. Fire department membership includes benefits such as access to the certification program, annual legislative representation, upkeep of the firefighter memorial at the capitol, monthly electronic newsletters, price discounts and net 30-day payment terms on books and training materials, grants, and the use of the SFFMA online certification system to log training and keep track of department activities applicable for individual member certifications.

  • Available to industrial facilities that maintain a fire brigade. Membership includes all benefits, plus the opportunity for facilities to certify their emergency response vehicles. Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 775, allows tax exemptions for industrial facilities participating through the association’s Texas Industrial Emergency Services Board.

  • Available to private and public EMS transport or first response agencies. EMS Department membership includes benefits such as access to the certification program, annual legislative representation, monthly electronic newsletters, price discounts and net 30-day payment terms on books and training materials, and the use of the SFFMA online certification system to log training and keep track of department activities applicable for individual member certifications. This membership also includes participation in the Texas Emergency Medical Services Board.

  • Available to other entities such as state agencies, nonprofit entities, support organizations, fire marshal’s offices, and the association’s district organizations, all having an interest in the betterment of the fire service in Texas. Membership includes all the benefits of the association with the exception of AD&D and LODD policies.

  • Sustaining membership - Available to manufacturers, distributors, and/or sales personnel of fire apparatus, equipment and accessories, and companies. Membership under this classification may exhibit products, equipment, and goods and services at the annual training conference and convention.

  • Available to individuals residing outside the U.S. International membership includes all benefits, including AD&D and LODD policies, subject to U.S. OFAC laws and regulations.
